Bits and Pieces

Definition

Parts of words are clued separately.  These separate clues can be any of the other sorts of clues. 

Triggers

  • Are a mishmash of the other triggers 

Example

The first tingle added to where two lines  meet on a penny gets all messed up. (7) (2 stars)


Reversals

Definition

A word goes backward to make the answer.  Often combined with other clues in Bits and Pieces

Triggers

  • Back
  • Reversed
  • Back up (Used a lot for down clues)

Example

When a heavy downpour goes back you get together. (4) (2 Stars)
